What is Cerebral Palsy?

It refers to a range of disabilities relating to movement and posture. It is not a disease and it is not hereditary. It is caused by damage to the brain which affects a person’s ability to walk, talk and the outward appearance.

How do I know my child has cerebral palsy?

  • Delayed developmental milestones like neck control, sitting, crawling, rolling, standing, walking and balancing.

  • Poor muscle tone and control

  • Muscle spasms

  • Lack of coordination
